Core Responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature to KS4/KS5 students with an emphasis on critical analysis, creative writing, and media literacy
• Integrate digital tools and contemporary formats such as podcasting, journalism, and digital storytelling into the curriculum
• Foster strong reading comprehension, argument development, and expressive writing through workshops and collaborative projects
• Encourage student-led literary publications, debates, and creative expression across multiple media platforms
• Create inclusive learning environments using inquiry-based and student-centered teaching approaches
• Collaborate with colleagues in cross-disciplinary projects and enrichment activities
• Track student progress through formative and summative assessments aligned with curriculum standards
• Support extra-curricular programs related to communication arts, media, and literature

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, or a related field with PGCE, PGDE, or BEd
• Master's degree preferred
• Minimum experience teaching English at KS4/KS5 or equivalent international secondary level
• Proficient in integrating educational technologies and promoting 21st-century skills
• Excellent communication and classroom leadership skills
• Demonstrated commitment to academic excellence and student well-being
• Strong ability to engage with students from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Willingness to actively participate in school community events and development initiatives
