Job Description

SCHOOL PRINCIPAL ( INDIAN CURRICULUM) Our client, a well established Education Chain Group with multiple schools and nurseries in Dubai and Abudhabi is looking to hire a qualified and experienced School Principal for one of their Indian Schools based in Dubai. Responsibilties
  • Oversee and ensure the school s commitment to quality education and its continued improvement, with a main focus on students outcomes.
  • Drive enrichment and implementation of Indian curriculum and related assessment and certification requirements in all phases .
  • Ensure that the school is meeting the needs of all students, and groups of students, and must ensure students with special educational needs make at least good progress in all aspects of their education and development.
  • Ensure that all Emirati students are making at least good progress in all aspects of their education and development.
  • Ensure that the school is compliant with KHDA regulations and requirements.
  • Promote Arabic language and the Emirati heritage as part of the school culture and curriculum.
  • Recruit and appoint qualified staff, according to rigorous standards in line with the demands set by KHDA and other related government agencies.
  • Implement rigorous policies and procedures and oversee provision to ensure students health and safety at all times.
  • Oversee and ensure all school records are updated, accurate and available to KHDA upon request.
  • Implement and adhere to current and future regulations issued by KHDA and relevant authorities.
  • Ensure the vision and mission stated in the KHDA approved academic plan are implemented.
  • Lead the school senior leadership team to prepare the school improvement plan(SIP), School Evaluation Form(SEF), National agenda action plan and Emirati strategic development plan & coherent to Islamic cultural values and adhering to KHDA approved academic plans.
  • Day to day school administration and driving the schools vision amongst the staff, students, parent community.
  • Leading and developing Teachers & Academic Leaders through continuous training and feedback .
  • Collaborating with Parents in order to provide personalized education to each child
  • Focus on student learning outcomes and to guide students for International Student Assessment s & Cognitive Abilities Test .
  • Supervise the instructional programs of the school, evaluating lesson plans and observing classes on a regular basis to encourage the use of a variety of instructional strategies and materials consistent with research on learning, child pedagogy and development.
  • Supervise in a fair and consistent manner effective discipline and attendance systems with high standards, consistent with the philosophy, values, and mission of the school.
  • Display the highest ethical and professional behavior and standards when working with students, parents and school personnel.
  • Keep the staff informed and seek ideas for the improvement of the school. Conduct meetings, as necessary, for the proper functioning of the school:
  • Use effective presentation and communication skills when addressing students, staff, parents, and the community including appropriate vocabulary and examples, clear and legible visuals, and articulate and audible speech.
  • Protect confidentiality of records and information gained as part of exercising professional duties and use discretion in sharing such information within legal confines.
  • Nurture both students and teachers to achieve their greatest potential academically, instructionally and in line with the vision & mission of Leams Education.
  • Communicate with the Chief Academic Officer & Board of Governors, regularly about the needs, successes and general operation of the school.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current KHDA & CBSE regulations.

  • He/ She should have strong administrative & acdemic leadership, communication, self-initiative and stakeholder balancing capabilities.
  • Must be highly motivated, proactive leader, who believe in developing teaching skills among academic staff along with keeping good PR with parents.
  • Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
  • She must have a passion to adapt to the latest changes taking place in the field of school education and demonstrate excellence in execution with an ability to foresee a path for the school .
Desired Qualifications:
  • Relevant and appropriate teaching experience and preferably holds Master s in Education.
  • Experience of no less than three cumulative years in educational leadership in the Indian curriculum schools, where the candidate has held such positions as Principal or V ice principal.
