Al Jazirah Institute of Science and Technology in Abu Dhabi,
Al Jaheli Institute of Science and Technology in Al Ain,
Baynounah Institute of Science and Technology in Al Gharbia,
Al Reef Institute of Logistics and Applied Technology in Al Shahama,
Sharjah Institute of Science & Technology in Sharjah,
Secondary Technical School (STS) and Vocational Education Development Center (VEDC). This Project is an initiative of the Abu Dhabi Government and is under the
management of the Abu Dhabi Centre for Technical & Vocational Education
and Training (ACTVET). Our Client offers a diverse range of applied Certificates and
Diploma programs that fit the job market needs include the following:
Business, Information Technology, Environment studies, Industrial Technology,
Logistics and Engineering. Required Experience: **10 years of Educational experience, 3 years experience as Principal / Vice-Principal / Academic Manager / Other Managerial positions in the Educational Field.
**At least five (5) years' experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities
**A clear understanding of curriculum delivery, teaching methods, and class observation
**At least five (5) years teaching experience at the High School level.
**Demonstrated success working within a high-performing educational institution. Qualifications & Training: Doctorate, or Masters Degree in Engineering, Maths, Science and Educational field. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
**Working knowledge of learning theories and instructional strategies
**Ability to communicate and collaborate with other professionals in the development of educational programs

Job Specifications: **General Planning: The principal conceptualizes the broad goals of the school and plans accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out the total school program.
**General Coordination: Supervises the school's educational program.
**Enhancement of Personnel Skills: The principal provides activities that facilitate the professional growth of the school staff and enhance the quality of the instructional program.
School Objectives: The principal identifies the annual objectives for the instructional, extracurricular, and athletic programs of the school.
**Curriculum Objectives: The principal ensures that instructional objectives for a given subject and/or classroom are developed, and involve the faculty and others in the development of specific curricular objectives to meet the needs of the school program. The principal provides opportunities for staff participation in the school program.
**Establishes Formal Work Relationships: The principal establishes implements and evaluates procedures used to carry out the daily routine of the school.
**Evaluates Performance: The principal evaluates student progress in the instructional program by means that include the maintaining of up-to-date student data. The principal supervises and appraises the performance of the school staff.
**Facilitates Organizational Efficiency: The principal maintains inter-school system communication and seeks assistance from the central office staff to improve
**New Staff and Students: The principal orients and assists new staff members and new students and provides opportunities for their input in the school program.
**Community: The principal encourages the use of community resources, cooperates with the community in the use of school facilities, interprets the school program for the community, and maintains communication with community members.
**Supplies and Equipment: The principal manages, directs, and maintains records on the materials, supplies, and equipment that are necessary to carry out the daily school routine. The principal involves the staff in determining priorities for instructional supplies.
**Services: The principal organizes, oversees, and provides support to the various services, supplies, materials, and equipment provided to carry out the school program. The principal makes use of community resources.
**Communication: Assure that the STS goals, policies, and procedures are accurately communicated to and followed by all campus employees. Develop and utilize effective communication channels through staff meetings, written procedures, and any other means so that campus employees are able to carry out their duties. Keep the ADVETI Directorate informed by making regular, timely, and relevant reports.
**Administration: Develop, monitor, modify and apply sound administrative practices to assure all campus employees are properly assigned, supervised, and evaluated.
**Culture: Create and promote a campus atmosphere that encourages student retention by treating all students fairly, with understanding, respect, and compassion while maintaining discipline Experience: **Extensive experience as a school Head or as a significant member of a Senior Leadership Team.
**Experience in leading ATHS Schools.
**Teaching experience in a range of schools. International experience is desirable but not essential.
**Experience in raising standards in teaching and learning with improved outcomes.
**Proven track record in self-evaluation.
**Experience in performance management as a performance reviewer.
**Experience in recruiting and developing effective teams.
**Effective financial and resource management.
**Experience in developing and sustaining collaborative relationships with a range of educational stakeholders, internal and external. Skills, Abilities & Knowledge: **Ability to provide inspirational leadership and empower staff.
**Knowledge and understanding of current education policies and practices.
