Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individual and group counselling sessions addressing issues such as stress, anxiety, bullying, peer relationships, and academic concerns.
Assess students' emotional and social needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
Collaborate with teachers and parents to support student development and resolve conflicts.
Provide guidance on academic planning, career choices, and personal development.
Facilitate workshops and programs on mental health, life skills, and coping strategies.
Refer students to external mental health professionals or social services when needed.
Maintain confidential records of counselling sessions and interventions.
Promote a positive school climate through advocacy and awareness activities.
Participate in multidisciplinary teams to support students with special needs.
Stay updated with best practices in school counselling and mental health.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or Post Graduate degree in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or Education.
Master's degree (Post Graduate) in Counselling, Educational Psychology, or Clinical Psychology is preferred.
Relevant certifications in counselling or school psychology are an advantage.
Experience working with children or adolescents in educational settings is desirable.
