The Scaffolding Inspector is responsible for ensuring the safe design, erection, modification, inspection, and dismantling of scaffolding structures in compliance with ADNOC standards, international safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, BS EN 12811, SG4:15), and project-specific requirements. The role ensures all scaffolding activities meet quality, safety, and operational integrity standards to protect personnel, assets, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Scaffolding Compliance & Inspection
Conduct daily inspections of scaffolding structures to verify compliance with ADNOC HSE guidelines, approved engineering designs, and industry standards.
Ensure scaffolding materials (tubes, couplers, boards, etc.) meet quality specifications and are free from defects.
Inspect scaffolding tags (Green/Yellow/Red) and ensure proper documentation of inspection records.
2. Safety & Risk Mitigation
Identify and report hazards, non-conformities, or unsafe practices related to scaffolding operations.
Verify load-bearing capacity, stability, and access/egress safety of scaffolding structures.
Ensure edge protection, toe boards, and safety nets are installed as required.
3. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photographs, checklists, and corrective action recommendations.
Maintain logs of scaffolding permits, certifications, and handover documentation.
Collaborate with HSE and construction teams to resolve issues and implement improvements.
4. Working Coordination
Liaise with contractors, engineers, and supervisors to ensure scaffolding designs align with project requirements.
Train and guide scaffolding crews on safe erection/dismantling practices and ADNOC protocols.
5. Audits & Continuous Improvement
Participate in internal and external HSE audits related to scaffolding.
Recommend updates to procedures based on industry best practices and lessons learned.
Conduct thorough inspections of scaffolding structures to verify compliance with
ADNOC Codes of Practice (COP)
, OSHA, BS EN 12811, and other relevant standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical), HSE, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years in scaffolding inspection within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.
Proven experience working on ADNOC or similar major energy sector projects.
Skills:
Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and scaffolding design calculations. Strong knowledge of fall protection systems and risk assessment methodologies. Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
