SBDCP Manufacturing Engineering Manager Grade: GG12 Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE

BAE Systems is the UK Government's nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force aircraft and train RSAF personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Engineering and Manufacturing Manager -Industrialisation is responsible to the Head of Engineering Industrialisation-for leading all Prime Contract Engineering & Manufacturing activities associated with IKIP and Local Manufacture, ensuring that the industrialised solutions identified, designed and delivered are "fit for purpose" and meet the Customer's requirements for product and service provision. This high-profile role will lead the technical development of both engineering and manufacturing solutions associated with future Saudi British Defence Cooperation Programme SBDCP Industrialisation programmes during SFA3 and beyond supporting KSA vision of 2030. These programmes are of strategic business importance and critical to ensuring BAE Systems Saudi Arabia secure future order and satisfy demanding national objectives. The range of emerging projects is diverse and will provide exciting and varies opportunities to expand knowledge, skills and experience in all engineering management disciplines across the engineering lifecycle. Success in the position will be dependent on establishing and maintaining close and long-term relations with both in-Kingdom Suppliers and UK based Design and Manufacturing Organisations. The development of in-Kingdom industrialisation/manufacturing solutions is an area of significant growth for BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, this role will play a pivotal role shaping and driving forward these new and challenging initiatives. This role provide opportunity to expand leadership competencies at both in individual, team, and organizational level with numerous stakeholders to manage and influence. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION

The role will focus on leading the technical aspects of contracting Saudi Industry in the local manufacture of on and off-aircraft parts, driving the end to end technical solutions' development from feasibility assessment, capability development, and qualifications, while ensuring the appropriate levels of engineering and manufacturing governance and Assurance are applied throughout in correlation with relevant supporting functions. Additionally, this role will provide technical support to the expansion and improvement of existing in-Kingdom industrialised and repair capabilities to include aircraft Avionics, structural, and General Systems maintenance; as well as support to industrialise Aircraft Ground Equipment, calibrations, and other services currently supported from overseas. Develop innovative technical solutions in support of new indirect industrialisation capabilities. Operating within a high paced contracting environment necessitates a high degree of flexibility in order to meet demanding delivery schedules. The ability to rapidly innovate indigenous technical solutions without comprising compliance or performance will be a key feature of this role. This operating model will require high interpersonal communication to ensure the buy-in and support from all relevant stakeholders The role will directly support the SBDCP SFA3 IKIP programme. Located in Riyadh but will involve frequent in-Kingdom travel to Supplier locations primarily in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam. May also require annual trips to UK to ensure appropriate Design and Manufacturing Organisations engagement. Reporting will be to both Programme Engineering and Contract Status Reviews

The key responsibilities of this role will be to ensure: Engineering management and planning is completed for SBDCP In-Kingdom Industrialisation Participation IKIP Capability Insertion and In-Kingdom manufacturing programmes ensuring that technical deliverables satisfy Customer and Project milestones. BAE Systems Air manufacturing governance is consistently complied with on all SBDCP In- Kingdom manufacturing programmes and full Lifecycle Management is applied. Robust Requirements Management, Configuration Management, technical risks, and Change Control processes for all SBDCP Capability Insertion and In-Kingdom manufacturing programmes are developed and maintained in compliance to BAESSA and SBDCP engineering policies. This responsibility is primarily related to requirements and configuration management of BAESSA and KSA Supplier contracts and associated technical data. Product configuration will be the responsibility of the relevant Design Organisation. Technical Subject Matter Expertise (SME) is provided for all in-Kingdom manufacturing engineering issues on the SBDCP Programmes including provision of guidance and support to Saudi Industry. Ensure Manufacturing Engineering processes and procedures are established that assure successful end to end execution of the manufacturing lifecycle from concept to First Article Inspection: Oversight and manage Industrialisation Opportunities from technical perspective that includes identification, assessment, Requirements generation and management, Manufacturing and Engineering Query Management; Technical Data Pack generation
