The company's responsibilities related to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Sanctions Compliance span every business, function and region - and apply to every customer and client of the firm. The AML/Sanctions Consent Order requires that JPMorgan Chase & Co. make specific process and system improvements - on top of more immediate procedural changes - and drive greater consistency in its approach to AML across the company. As a Self-Supervisory Unit (SSU) employee and Compliance Officer, you'll be responsible for:
Responsible for all interactions with the regulator (SAMA) in regards to SSU matters
Daily monitoring of SSU requests and communications
Completeness, timeliness and accuracy processing of SSU tasks as per the requirements and relevant standard and procedures
Ongoing maintenance of SSU prohibitions/ sanctions and UN lists
timely and accurate review and disposition of SSU and UN terrorism sanctions escalations in accordance with relevant requirements and standards
timely preparation and submission of subsequent regular and ad-hoc reports as required by relevant regulations/ policies and procedures
represent and actively participate in the banks SSU Committee
keeping abreast knowledge of developments of SSU relevant rules and regulations
participate in firm's and regulatory driven activities impacting or pertaining to SSU responsibilities
preparing and submitting the annual SSU report as prescribed by the SSU rules
Build relationships with relevant teams and counterparts in the industry to fulfill SSU responsibilities in terms of awareness and cooperation with SSUs in local banks
Ongoing and timely maintenance of SSU procedures and identify impacts on relevant procedures/ functions
Timely escalation of potential issues and risks
Maintaining confidentiality associated to your duties as SSU member and compliance officer
Function as a key contributor and demonstrate knowledge of AML and Sanctions issues as well as broader functional knowledge
Participate in individual and department goal development and execute on tactical strategies for goal attainment
The successful candidate has strong independent responsibility and demonstrates compliance knowledge in working with both international and domestic clients and products, in addition to large multi-national corporations. This position requires leadership skills, proven investigatory abilities, prioritization skills, and a willingness to tackle new and difficult challenges. In addition, you must have banking system and investigative knowledge. You'll be expected to interact with AML management, all lines of business, and the firm's legal, audit, and risk departments. This position requires you to exercise sound judgment and follow high quality standards when conducting investigations. Additional Qualifications:
Investigative experience with exposure within international regions and multinational corporations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional research and analytical skills
Understanding of all lines of business and products
Independent decision maker, able to make time-sensitive assessments and to discuss complex regulatory issues with senior management
Understanding of regulatory concepts including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctions, and the USA PATRIOT Act
Able to interface with business counterparts to obtain information related to their client's transaction activity
Experience working with internal groups including Legal, Audit, or Risk to ensure consistent understanding of requirements
Proven ability to formulate and execute an investigation
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel/Access/PowerPoint)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

The Self-Supervisory Unit (SSU) Manager will be reporting to the Riyadh Branch Head of Compliance and Financial Crimes with the following responsibilities:
Primary point of contact with the regulator (SAMA) in regards to SSU matters and responsible for all interactions
Build and maintain sustainable operations of the SSU unit including daily monitoring of requests and communications
Ensure Completeness, timeliness and accuracy processing of SSU tasks as per the requirements and relevant standards and procedures
Ongoing maintenance of SSU prohibitions/ sanctions and UN lists
timely and accurate review and disposition of SSU and UN terrorism sanctions escalations in accordance with relevant requirements and standards
timely preparation and submission of subsequent regular and ad-hoc reports as required by relevant regulations/ policies and procedures
