Position Summary

MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Terminal Engineer to support OCONUS operations in Kuwait. The SATCOM Terminal Engineer will provide day-to-day technical and engineering support across the various fielded SATCOM equipment. Equipment includes: Deployable Ku Earth Terminal, Mobile DKET, and VSAT terminals in a variety of C5ISR configurations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Providing Tier 2 network support for a complex enterprise WAN and LAN networks. Providing Tier 2 network support for a complex RF system. Troubleshooting and identifying sources of problems and resolve issues. Monitoring and resolving service requests in accordance with published SLAs. Assisting in establishing and enforcing best practice processes for network management, including configurations, monitoring, patch management and security. Operating Satellite Modems, Redundancy Switch, associated cables, and interconnects; Up Converters, Redundancy Switch; Down Converters, High Power Amplifiers (HPAs), Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs), Low Noise Block (LNB); Waveguide (rigid, flex, and elliptical) joints and connections; Intermediate Frequency (IF) cable and connections; Antenna, Antenna motors, Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPA), Antenna Control Unit (ACU), and associated cabling and interconnects; Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Units; Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS); Generator (if applicable). Maintaining and troubleshooting systems using any Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) required over and above the Built-In-Test (BIT) capability of the supported equipment. Manage and maintain telecommunication installation supplies. Maintain daily on-hand inventories. Operate Satellite Radios and maintain those systems. Operate FDMA, TDMA modems. Operate and program an iDirect, Linkway modem and or Hub. Requirements

Minimum of (2) years of experience in support of installations, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of communications electronic systems or equipment. Shall have a minimum of (2) years experience operating in a tactical environment, operating/maintaining antenna controllers, SSPA, LNA/LNB, up and down converters, Fiber optic/Coax/Ethernet Cable, Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) modems (satellite modems). Shall have experience and skill with commercial and military satellite acquisition procedures and commercial TDMA/DAMA modems required.

Education High School Diploma. An Associate's Degree or higher in an Electronics-related field of study is preferred, but not required.

Other Qualifications Active Secret Clearance Required. Must Be A U.S Citizen. Must posses Network+, Security+, and Modem-related certification(s). Special Note
