RF Engineer (Modem) - SATCOM Holt Executive are partnered with a leading Satellite Communications business that offer multi-mission satellite services to more than 150 countries across the globe. They have an immediate requirement for an experienced RF Engineer (Modem) - SATCOM to be responsible for designing and developing the RF system for the Advance Modem Technology products as well as ensuring the products perform at system level. Key Accountabilities for the RF Engineer (Modem) - SATCOM
- Define and validate the best RF architecture for the product (components selection, RF design, RF performances measurement);
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (hardware/FPGA, Embedded software) to optimize RF performance and find best product design/implementation trade-off;
- Establish and execute the test and validation strategy in collaboration with the hardware team to extensively test the RF performance and all associated requirements;
- Support the system architect in assessing overall RF system performance;
- Contribute to new technology assessment and testing to support new product developments.
- Expertise in RF design for electronics product (transmitter/receiver, extensive knowledge of passive/active components, antenna, etc..)
- Solid experience in full design cycle is required (specs, components selection, schematics, detailed design and associated documentation, RF testing)
- Solid experience in RF design tools (ADS/PADS/Cadence..) and RF test equipments (spectrum and network analyzer, etc..)
- Knowledge in digital signal processing
- Experience in SATCOM link budgets
- MSc in Electrical, Electronics, digital signal processing and/or wireless Communication Engineering
- English - Berlitz Level 8, IELTS 5.5, TOEFL 550 or equivalent
- 6+ years of experience in Radiofrequency system design and development
- 4+ years of experience in wireless communications
