Overview

**This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP**

Under the supervision of the SASMO Tactical Network Supervisor , this position supervises personnel at two separate geographical locations and performs maintenance duties of all LIS systems. Provides direction and oversight of the day to day SASMO operations. Provides responsive technical and functional field level maintenance support to its customers. This support covers all aspects of system operation, to include the diagnosing and troubleshooting of current LIS software, hardware, and communication interfaces.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

+ Provides direction and oversight of the day to day SASMO operations.

+ Provides responsive technical and functional field level maintenance support to its customers. This support covers all aspects of system operation, to include the diagnosing and troubleshooting of current LIS software, hardware, and communication interfaces

+ Maintains secure encrypted wireless intranet network and oversight of operations to ensure compliance with PSW and DA Regulations as required.

+ Prepares, analyzes and briefs reports as required. Recommends solutions to problems indicated by analysis of trends, indicators, potential problems or those identified by management and/or the government.

+ Provide 24/7 on call customer service support to LIS clients.

+ Administrate, install and repair current LIS software and others as required.

+ Provides guidance and training to customers in GCSS-Army automated logistics system.

Qualifications

+ Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.

+ Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)

+ Must be a U.S. Citizen

+ A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's License and host nation Driver's License, is required.

+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred. Combination of work experience and education will be considered.

+ Must possess two of the follow Certifications:

+ CCNA Security, CySA GSEC, Security +CE, SSCP

+ Experience:

+ MCSE, A+, or four (4) years' experience installing, operating, and performing maintenance on multi-functional/multi-user information processing systems and peripheral equipment and auxiliary devices.

+ Four (4) years' experience with DOD, MILNET, or equal system experience.

+ Must have at least four (4) years of direct management of data communications and network management, as required to operate and maintain the WAN/LAN.

+ Preferably four (4) years' experience working with and experience training GCSS-Army (SAP) Application Software.

+ Skills:

+ Requires advanced knowledge of GCSS-Army, UNIX, LIS and RFID

+ Must have the ability to isolate AND fix problems in functional/non-functioning equipment systems or software

+ Must be able to identify and act on unique or recurring customer issues

+ Must possess the ability to analyze and solve technical issues by utilizing problem solving ability and strong trouble shooting techniques

+ Must have high-level organizational and planning skills.

+ Must have high level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including work, Excel, Outlook and other related applications.

+ Must have excellent communications skills, both written and oral.

+ Working Conditions:

+ Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.

+ Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).

+ Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.

+ Physical Requirements:

+ Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

+ Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.

+ Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.

+ Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
