Job Description

The client is undergoing a major transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, and we are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP Data Senior Consultant to Senior Consultant and manage the entire spectrum of SAP data management services, including SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), data migration from ECC to S/4HANA, OpenText Data Archival & Retrieval, and other data management solutions within the SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP landscape. This Technical Senior Consultant role will involve hands-on expertise in all aspects of SAP data, ensuring the integrity, governance, and seamless transition of critical data for business continuity.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of SAP data services, strong experience in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and data governance solutions, and hands-on expertise in Consulting data migration and management projects for large-scale enterprises.
Key Job Responsibilities:
SAP S/4HANA Data Architecture and Management:

• Senior Consultant the architecture and design of data management solutions within SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and other integrated systems.
• Develop and implement a data governance framework, ensuring data quality, consistency, and integrity across SAP S/4HANA and BTP platforms.
• Work closely with business and IT stakeholders to understand data requirements and define best practices for data architecture, transformation, and migration.

Master Data Governance (MDG):

• Senior Consultant the implementation, configuration, and management of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) to ensure effective management of master data across business processes.
• Define and enforce data governance policies for SAP MDG, ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all systems.
• Implement MDG for key domains (e.g., material, customer, vendor, financial master data) and ensure seamless integration with SAP S/4HANA.
• Establish processes for data lifecycle management, including data creation, maintenance, and deletion in collaboration with business units.

Data Migration from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA:

• Senior Consultant data migration efforts for the transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, including data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Design and manage the data migration strategy and roadmap, ensuring smooth, accurate, and timely migration of legacy data to S/4HANA.
• Oversee the preparation of migration tools and templates, ensuring that migration processes comply with SAP best practices.
• Collaborate with functional teams to validate and cleanse data before migration to S/4HANA, ensuring data accuracy and readiness.
• Senior Consultant the development of testing strategies for data migration, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

OpenText Data Archival & Retrieval:

• Senior Consultant the implementation and management of OpenText Data Archival and Retrieval solutions for SAP S/4HANA, ensuring that large volumes of transactional and historical data are properly archived and easily retrievable.
• Ensure that archived data is secure, compliant with industry regulations, and easily accessible for business users when needed.
• Develop strategies and best practices for archiving data in accordance with legal and business requirements.
• Work with the SAP Basis and SAP Security teams to ensure appropriate access controls are applied to archived data.
• Manage and monitor the performance of the OpenText archiving solution to ensure optimal retrieval times and minimal disruption to business operations.

Data Integration with SAP BTP:

• Integrate SAP S/4HANA with SAP BTP data services, including SAP Data Intelligence, SAP Integration Suite, and other SAP BTP tools, to enable seamless data flow across systems and improve business intelligence.
• Work with the SAP BTP team to leverage cloud-based data solutions, ensuring real-time data exchange between SAP S/4HANA and third-party applications.
• Implement data pipelines, transformation workflows, and analytics solutions using SAP BTP, ensuring integration with master data, transactional data, and big data solutions.

Data Quality and Governance:

• Develop and enforce data quality rules, policies, and procedures to ensure the consistency and accuracy of data across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and external systems.
• Implement data cleansing processes to address data quality issues before migration, during migration, and post-migration.
• Ensure adherence to SAP's data governance framework and best practices, driving the adoption of data governance tools and technologies across the organization.
• Manage and support data governance committees, providing guidance and support for effective data management across departments.

Data Security and Compliance:

• Ensure that data management solutions comply with relevant security standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Work with security teams to implement data protection measures and safeguard sensitive business data across SAP S/4HANA, BTP, and external platforms.
• Ensure that data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) are incorporated into the data governance framework and implemented during data migration and archival processes.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with functional Senior Consultants, business analysts, project managers, and technical teams to ensure that data migration, governance, and archival requirements are met.
• Collaborate with data owners and business stakeholders to ensure that data management processes align with organizational goals and business needs.
• Provide regular updates on data migration, governance, and archival projects to senior management, including challenges and resolutions.

Training, Knowledge Sharing, and Support:

• Develop and deliver training sessions for business users and internal teams on SAP data management, MDG processes, and OpenText data archival practices.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to the team, ensuring continuous improvement in data quality and governance practices.
• Mentor junior Senior Consultants and staff members, fostering their growth in SAP data management technologies.

Continuous Improvement and Best Practices:

• Continuously evaluate and improve data management processes and tools, recommending new technologies and methodologies to improve the quality and efficiency of data management in SAP S/4HANA and BTP.
• Stay up-to-date with new developments in SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and related technologies, ensuring that the client is leveraging the latest capabilities to optimize data management.
