Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive Senior SAP Basis and Security Consultant with at least 10 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, system performance optimization, role and authorization management, and SAP GRC. This role is critical in both daily operations and in supporting our ongoing RISE with SAP 2023 transformation project, focused on process optimization and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing audits, aligning SAP roles with business needs, and contributing to GRC initiatives, particularly in the areas of compliance and access governance.
Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor overall SAP system performance, uptime, and resource utilization.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, client copies, patching, kernel upgrades, and applying support packages.
• Proactively monitor system health using SAP tools like Solution Manager and EarlyWatch.
• Handle system start-up/shutdown, job scheduling, system refreshes, and database administration.
• Collaborate with hosting partners for SAP Cloud infrastructure operations (as applicable).

• Oversee the full lifecycle of Role & Authorization design, deployment, and maintenance.
• Drive role redesign and cleanup initiatives to align with GRC standards and S/4HANA 2023 requirements.
• Implement and support SAP GRC Access Control modules: ARM, ARA, BRM, and EAM.
• Ensure role design aligns with the Delegation of Authority (DoA) matrix and business policies.
• Manage firefighting access and oversee critical access control processes.
• Lead GRC remediation efforts and collaborate closely with business stakeholders.

• Own and maintain the Transport Management System (TMS) setup and monitoring.
• Coordinate transport activities with functional teams, ensuring conflict-free migrations.
• Enforce adherence to change management processes and transport governance.

• Act as a primary contact during internal and external audits.
• Address auditor inquiries regarding user management, change control, and segregation of duties (SoD).
• Maintain proper documentation to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
• Lead resolution efforts for audit findings and control gaps.

• Provide hands-on support for the migration from on-premises systems to RISE with SAP (Cloud 2023).
• Assist in system sizing, readiness assessments, and technical validation tasks.
• Ensure a smooth transition of roles, transports, and configurations during the migration process.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• SAP Certification in Basis or Security is required.
• 10+ years of solid experience in SAP Basis administration and SAP Security.
• Experience with RISE with SAP and cloud-based SAP infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in SAP landscape management, system optimization, and performance tuning.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive and independent work approach.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
