We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sampling Coordinator to coordinate and lead the sampling team. The Sampling Coordinator will play a pivotal role in coordinate and oversee the collection of environmental samples. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute in molecular biology.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Sample Collection Oversight:

Coordinate and oversee the collection of environmental samples (e.g., wastewater, soil, air) following established protocols. Ensure the sampling team adheres to safety and procedural guidelines.
2. Schedule Management:

Develop and maintain a schedule for sampling activities to ensure timely and efficient collection. Communicate schedules and updates to the sampling team and relevant stakeholders.
3. Team Supervision:

Supervise the sampling team, providing guidance and support as needed. Conduct regular training sessions to ensure team competency in sampling, labeling, and transportation procedures.
4. Quality Assurance:

Verify that all collected samples are properly labeled, documented, and stored to maintain integrity. Perform routine checks to ensure compliance with project standards.
5. Inventory and Equipment Management:

Monitor and manage sampling equipment and supplies, including collection devices. Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of collection devices before and after use.
6. Data Management:

Record and organize data related to sample collection activities. Collaborate with the Lab Supervisor to upload sample data to the project dashboard.
7. Reporting:

Prepare daily and weekly reports on sampling activities, including progress, challenges, and resolutions. Provide feedback on team performance and operational improvements.
8. Compliance and Safety:

Ensure all sampling activities comply with biosafety and environmental standards. Address and report any safety concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Biology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in sampling or environmental monitoring are an advantage.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental sampling or a related field. Prior experience in team coordination or supervisory roles is preferred.

Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. Proficiency in using data management tools and software. Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Other Requirements:

Familiarity with environmental sampling protocols and biosafety practices. Physical ability to conduct field sampling activities when required. Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and project needs.
