The Salon HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the salon, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, payroll coordination, and compliance with UAE labor laws. The role ensures a professional, motivated, and efficient workforce that upholds the salon's image of excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & Onboarding
Manage full-cycle recruitment for all salon positions (stylists, therapists, receptionists, supervisors, etc.).
Conduct interviews, reference checks, and prepare offer letters and employment contracts.
Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training for new employees.
Maintain an updated staff database and HR files (passports, visas, insurance, contracts, etc.).
2. Employee Relations & Communication
Foster a positive work environment through open communication and regular team engagement.
Handle employee concerns, complaints, and disciplinary actions with fairness and professionalism.
Ensure company policies, values, and code of conduct are clearly communicated and followed.
Mediate conflicts between employees and management when necessary.
3. Performance Management
Implement and monitor performance appraisal systems, KPIs, and attendance tracking.
Work closely with supervisors to evaluate productivity and behavior.
Develop reward programs for top performers (monthly achievers, employee of the month, etc.).
Identify training needs and coordinate workshops to enhance staff skills.
4. Payroll & Compensation
Prepare and verify monthly payroll data (attendance, overtime, deductions, incentives, etc.).
Coordinate with accounts for accurate and timely salary disbursement.
Maintain confidentiality of employee salary and HR-related data.
Ensure compliance with end-of-service benefits, gratuity, and leave balance policies.
5. Compliance & Administration
Ensure all HR operations comply with UAE Labor Law, MOHRE, and ADGM (if applicable).
Monitor visa renewals, medicals, and Emirates ID processing in coordination with PRO.
Maintain accurate HR documentation, warnings, memos, and performance records.
Prepare HR reports for management (turnover, attendance, recruitment progress, etc.).
6. Culture & Employee Development
Support the management in building a culture of excellence, discipline, and teamwork.
Organize team meetings, training sessions, and staff celebrations.
Encourage employee engagement, motivation, and retention strategies.
7. Sales & Performance Development
Collaborate closely with the Operations and Front Desk teams to monitor
daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance
.
Design and implement
sales incentive programs
to motivate staff and increase revenue.
Analyze sales reports, identify trends, and suggest strategies for service upselling and retail product promotion.
Conduct regular
sales and customer service training
sessions for all employees to enhance communication and selling techniques.
Ensure staff are fully informed about
current offers, memberships, and packages
to achieve targets.
Support the salon in achieving
monthly revenue goals
and maintaining a
premium customer experience
.
Skills &
Qualifications
Minimum 3-5 years of HR experience in the salon, spa, or hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication (English essential, Arabic or Tagalog is an advantage).
Proficiency in HR software, MS Office, and attendance systems.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
