Work closely with the Line Manager to review technical proposals and estimate the full scope of work for Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation projects.
Review and compile techno-commercial bids received from subcontractors and suppliers.
Prepare comprehensive project cost estimates using established norms, databases, and collaboration with other estimators in the department.
Quality Assurance of Proposals
Ensure the quality of technical proposals and estimations, avoiding scope creep or cost estimation errors.
Technical Clarification and Client Engagement
Participate in technical clarification meetings and address comments from clients or main contractors.
Engage with clients to review technical documents, drawings, specifications, project schedules, and delivery milestones.
Coordinate with local and global suppliers/vendors to resolve all technical queries related to Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation systems.
Technical Interpretation and Coordination
Interpret customer specifications, mechanical drawings, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation drawings, and control narratives.
Serve as a liaison between suppliers and customers, submitting vendor documents and technical submittals.
Supplier Negotiation and Coordination
Negotiate with suppliers on technical aspects of Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation products.
Coordinate with the estimation team to ensure accurate and competitive project pricing.
Quality Inspection and Testing Coordination
Coordinate quality inspections and raise RFIs (Requests for Information).
Arrange and coordinate FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) or factory/warehouse visits as required by customers.
Pre-Sales Support and Documentation
Work closely with internal pre-sales experts to develop appropriate techno-commercial solutions for customer projects.
Maintain ISO documentation and records of suppliers and manufacturers.
Reporting and Communication
Submit bi-monthly reports on the project progress to the manager.
