Purpose:


For Ship Chandlering Business development and operation in UAE.


External Communication: Principals, Suppliers and service providers; Customers such as Shipping, Marine, Oil & Gas, Offshore companies, and Ship chandelling suppliers, Shipping Agencies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and GCC countries and internatinaly


Purpose:


Establish, Growth/Development and smooth operation of Ship Chandelling Business in UAE.


Occupational Health & Safety and Environment


Accountability:


Are accountable for their acts and omissions.


Responsibility:


To follow agreed safe systems of work; to follow training and instructions; and to report accidents, incidents and near misses.


Authority: To stop work if they think the work is unsafe.



Education & Professional Qualification:


Bachelor's Degree in relevant field.


Masters Degree in Business Management will be preferred.


UAE Driving License


Professional Experience:


6-8 yeas experience, out of which 5 years in Ship Chandelling operations &Sales with proven records.


Geographic Experience:


United Arab Emirates / GCC


Computer Skills:


MS Office package including Power Point and working in Oracle and ERP of ship Chandelling is preferred


Language Skills:


Fluent in English.Arabic Language is an advantage


Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:


Product and Market knowledge is vital.


Excellent Time Management, Industry knowledge



Key Roles & Responsibilities


Set up Ship Chandler Business in UAE Generate Ship Chandlering business from Shipping, Marine, Oil & Gas companies, and Ship chandelling suppliers in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and GCC countries. Analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activities to identify opportunities to generate business. Lead and motivate a sales team to achieve individual and team sales. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the B2B Sectors such as Ship Chandlers, Ship Managements, Shipyards, Maritime companies, Ensure prompt response to client inquiries and strive for customer satisfaction through effective communication and addressing their needs. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand customer base. Locate relevant sources of suppliers to secure best prices and profitability of the operation. Optimize stock levels to prevent non-availability of essential items and ensure year-round product availability for timely delivery. Prepare and maintain regular Sales Reports detailing performance metrics, market leads etc. Design and develop Catalogue of Ship-Chandlery products in collaboration with Milaha Communications, and implement timely updates of products and services. Implement E-Commerce system and update Catalogues timely Obtain relevant Certifications and memberships such as IMPA, Ship-Serv, Procu-ship, ISSA. Collaborate with Sales Executives for products, Pricing, and assist Manager to implement best practices, policies etc. Ensure timely invoicing the sales and Credit Control in line with Milaha policy. Ensure business / market share growth over long term in line with the MILAHA Strategy. Monitor prices applied to clients depending on the various segments and ensure the prices are in line with that of competitors to secure the business. Participate in all related Tenders. Collect customer feedback and discuss with Principals with regard to stock, quality, purchase forecast and sales volumes. Accompany Sales Executive for sales meetings where any issues comes up for discussion. Handle trading of various kinds of Ship Chandelling products to meet the demand of Clients. Attend/participation in events and exhibitions to promote business.
