Be the primary technical and commercial point of contact with compounders, OEMs, converters, and distributors.
Translate flame retardancy regulations (e.g. UL 94, V?0, EN 13501, FAR 25, IEC 60332?1) and safety standards into commercial solutions.
Drive sales planning, product positioning, and profitability strategies in support of mid?term growth and emerging market penetration.
2. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Territory Management
"Accountable for all aspects of sales; maintenance and growth of existing business and generation of new business." hays-china.cn Build and execute a territory/customer?segment plan with quarterly/annual targets (GTM acceleration; price management; promotion planning; channel expansion).
Technical & Commercial Conversion Support
"Provide technical support to customers, including troubleshooting and problem?solving." hays-china.cn Collaborate with R&D and Technical Service teams to develop customized formulations, run flame?testing trials, and deliver training to customers and internal sales.
New Market & Product Development
"Uncover and evaluate the most promising markets for three exciting next?generation FR technologies." Built In Identify new verticals such as EV battery systems, telecom cables, medical devices. Pilot rollouts, POC proposals, and value?added product launches.
Channel & Account Management
Onboard and manage distributors, agents, and OEMs; optimize incentives, manage forecast accuracy, stocking policies, and technical support.
Market Intelligence & Strategic Input
Track flame?retardant trends, competitor activity, global shifts in halogen?free vs brominated chemistries. Help set market forecasts, pricing (MM/CM), and investment priorities.
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
Provide monthly updates to commercial leadership--customer win/loss analysis, pipeline building, competitor sales alerts. Share feedback on new customer needs with R&D and supply chain.
Travel & Representation
Represent company at trade shows, technical seminars; act as customer advisor on-site as required.
3. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Technology, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a business discipline with ??7?years' experience in
FR sales, compounding, or plastics additives

Proven track record of account management and new business development in industrial B2B environments (plastics, electronics, construction).
Fluency in technical commercial communication, able to present flame properties (LOI, UL 94, CTI, smoke density), mechanical performance implications, and value?added differentiation.
