As a Hotel Sales Manager focusing on leisure, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to maximize leisure travel sales for our hotel. You will work closely with the sales and marketing team to identify target markets, generate leads, and cultivate relationships with leisure travelers, travel agencies, tour operators, and other potential clients. Your primary goal will be to increase occupancy rates and revenue by promoting our hotel as a preferred destination for leisure travelers.

As a professional in your role, your responsibilities and essential job functions will include but are not limited to:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to attract leisure travelers to the hotel.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the leisure travel market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and other leisure travel partners.
  • Create compelling sales presentations and marketing materials tailored to leisure travelers.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special packages, promotions, and events targeting leisure travelers.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about leisure travel trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
  • Prepare sales reports and forecasts to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide excellent customer service to leisure travelers and address any inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as reservations and guest services, to ensure a seamless experience for leisure guests.
Ideally, you should possess some or all the following qualifications and experience:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in hospitality management, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the luxury hospitality industry with a focus on leisure travel.
  • Strong understanding of leisure travel market dynamics and trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
  • Flexibility to travel for business purposes as needed.
  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, especially those commonly spoken by leisure travelers.
