The Sales Manager - Healthcare IT is responsible for driving business growth by identifying opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and promoting digital health solutions across healthcare providers, hospitals, and government sectors. This role requires deep understanding of healthcare workflows, HIT solutions (PACS, RIS, VNA, AI, Teleradiology), and the ability to translate customer needs into tailored value propositions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve revenue and market-share targets within assigned territories or segments.
Identify new business opportunities, including hospitals, private healthcare groups, government healthcare entities, and strategic partners.
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations for decision-makers and clinical stakeholders.
Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing and contract negotiations.
Account Management
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, including CIOs, CMIOs, Radiology Directors, IT Managers, Procurement, and Executive Leadership.
Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating with internal technical, clinical, and service teams.
Monitor account performance and develop growth strategies, including upselling and cross-selling.
Market Intelligence
Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, pricing strategies, and regional healthcare initiatives.
Provide insights to product management and marketing to support portfolio enhancements.
Participate in conferences, exhibitions, and industry forums to build brand visibility.
Sales Operations & Reporting
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and CRM records.
Prepare regular reports on market performance, customer feedback, and revenue achievements.
Collaborate with finance, legal, and operations teams on quotations, tenders, and contract processes.
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare Management, or related field.
Master's degree (MBA or Health Informatics) preferred.
Experience
5-10 years of experience in healthcare IT sales, preferably with solutions such as PACS/RIS, VNA, EMR/EHR, AI imaging or digital health platforms.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Experience working with large healthcare groups, government organizations, or enterprise-scale accounts.
Skills
Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, radiology, clinical systems, and IT infrastructure.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to lead complex sales cycles and engage multiple stakeholders.
CRM proficiency.
Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
