As a Sales Manager at Arabian Adventures, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our brand and offerings are recognized and well-promoted through various sales channels, including hotel travel desks, hotel concierge, digital sales, and corporate partnerships. You\'ll collaborate closely with our partners in these channels, equipping them with in-depth knowledge about our products so they can confidently promote and sell our brand.

In addition to managing existing sales channels, the Sales Manager at Arabian Adventures will also play a crucial role in generating new business opportunities within hotel travel desks, hotel concierge, digital sales, and corporate partnerships. You will be responsible for identifying potential growth areas, forging strategic alliances with new partners, and expanding our reach in untapped markets. By leveraging your sales expertise and market knowledge, you will actively seek out new business prospects, develop compelling proposals, and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements. Your innovative approach and ability to identify emerging trends will be instrumental in driving continuous growth and ensuring Arabian Adventures remains at the forefront of the industry.

You\'ll also be responsible for gathering and analyzing market intelligence, presenting strategies to senior management, and implementing initiatives that support our long-term plans.

Key Responsibilities
Plan
- Research, monitor and analyze trends and developments in markets/sales channels, examining their possible impact on travel to the Gulf region/UAE and Arabian Adventures\' existing operation or opportunity for expansion, Compile market intelligence and competitor reports for Senior Management,
- Maintain effective contact with DTCM, trade organizations and leisure service providers within AA\'s area of operation, to identify and recommend potential products. Sustain a high level of knowledge on the destinations/products on offer, including both AAs\' own range of products and services as well as those of competitors.
Deploy
- Prepares and submits brief documents for all promotional / operational collateral as per the activity plan and maintains close liaison with Corporate Communications to ensure required support. Work closely with Product Development to ensure right products for target markets/customers,
- Presents proposals to Senior Management -AA for new accounts and evaluate existing business ensuring the company\'s policies are adhered to in the form of payment procedures and account set-up.
Lead
- Directly responsible for assigned markets/sales channels and maximising sales opportunities by identifying new revenue streams and partners,
- Represent the company, both locally and overseas in road shows, trade fairs and other meetings to increase awareness of both AA services and the region. Prepares and conducts presentations (PowerPoint/Visual) for AA clients in liaison with Senior Management - AA according to the specific requirements of each market and product,
- Build a culture of partner relationships based on trust, service excellence and value proposition. Maintain and continuously develop relationships with stakeholders within the region at a middle to high management level.
- Directly responsible for sales performance of concierge/hotel desks and other on the ground, in-destination sales teams,
- Source, train, assign and continually monitor a pool of customer focused representatives ensuring high quality of service, selling capability, breadth of local knowledge, language ability and effective personal demeanour,
- Manage the sales team and motivate them to drive sales performance, and meet and exceed sales targets to support the planned growth,
- Establish sales performance KPIs, track weekly/monthly sales reports to identify market trends and revenue opportunities. Provide progress and performance against plans/budget updates along with recommendations for improving sales performance,
- Ensure appropriate implementation of company incentive policies, company finance procedures and other relevant industry regulations.

Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a Sales/Commercial or Business Development role
- Working experience in a commercial/sales/marketing role, with direct experience in travel/tourism/tour sales (inbound)
- Recent experience in an e-commerce environment, along with a demonstrable understanding of technology application in the tourism and/or hospitality industry
- Understanding of, and experience working with, online tour operators and OTAs is essential
Qualifications
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)

Knowledge/Skills
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of the travel industry including the workings of tour operators, DMCs, international markets, leisure suppliers as well as a working knowledge of the functions of travel trade organisations and government tourism bodies.
- Knowledge of destinations covered by the dnata Travel Destination Management business is advantageous
- Knowledge of the tourism industry and its global distribution sales channels, e-commerce, direct sales and online marketing, knowledge of online sales & marketing best practices is essential
- Ability to adapt and respond quickly to a fast changing tourism environment
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office Applications and company provided software
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, MS Project and PowerPoint
- Excellent use of the English language, both written and spoken, Effective presentation skills
- Strong negotiating skills, with ability to communicate with external suppliers and customers and balance the needs of customers and that of the business
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Should be able to be a self-motivated team player, pro-active, flexible and well-groomed, capable of understanding `the bigger picture\' and actively contributing to the results of the department
- Job-holder will be required to work and network outside regular office hours, with a requirement of flexibility in order to reach departmental deadlines
- The In-Destination role is expected to be 50/50 office and on the road
