Job Purpose:
The Sales Executive will be responsible for promoting URBI's geospatial technologies and solutions, particularly to government entities, and ensuring successful engagement through training, workshops, and scenario design. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of client needs, and the ability to develop tailored business proposals and action plans.
Responsibilities:
Proactively identify, prospect, and engage potential clients for Map APIs, geospatial data, and cloud GIS solutions.
Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through outbound efforts, events, partnerships, and inbound leads.
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and demos to showcase the value of our offerings.
Develop and deliver tailored proposals and commercial offers that meet client needs.
Negotiate and close subscription contracts, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
Manage and grow assigned accounts by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Maintain long-term relationships with customers, ensuring ongoing satisfaction and contract renewals.
Act as a trusted advisor, understanding customer use cases and helping them maximize value from our solutions.
Coordinate proof-of-concept, pilot and testing activities, working closely with the technical team.
Articulate the value proposition of our GIS platform, data products, and spatial analytics services.
Act as the voice of the customer internally, ensuring smooth handover to the project delivery teams.
Support project managers in aligning scope, timeline, and client expectations post-sale.
Stay up to date on geospatial technology trends, API standards, and cloud subscription models.
Provide feedback to product and marketing teams on customer needs and market opportunities.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences.
Work with marketing and product teams to align offerings with market trends and client demands.
Work with reporting tools and CRM to maintain sales funnel and opportunities records.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Geography, Geospatial Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field.
Relevant experience in Sales
Strong understanding of GIS technologies, APIs, and cloud-based platforms is an advantage.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Proficient in using CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently or within a team.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events when required.
