Job Description

:
  • Generate Sales Leads: Actively research and identify potential clients who would benefit from advertising in our magazine publication. This includes both companies and individuals seeking to enhance their branding efforts.
  • Sales Presentations: Conduct persuasive sales presentations to showcase the benefits of advertising in our magazine. Clearly articulate the value proposition and advantages of our publication in reaching their target audience.
  • Customized Advertising Solutions: Collaborate with clients to understand their specific marketing goals and objectives. Develop tailored advertising solutions that align with their requirements, ensuring maximum return on investment (ROI) and brand exposure.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and support. Stay updated on their marketing initiatives and proactively identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Negotiation and Closing Deals: Negotiate advertising rates and terms with clients, ensuring a win-win scenario for both parties. Secure signed contracts and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Market Research: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions. Continuously analyse and assess market needs, customer preferences, and emerging opportunities to refine sales strategies.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports, including pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and revenue projections. Present these reports to management and provide insights and recommendations for optimising sales performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, editorial, and design, to ensure seamless execution of advertising campaigns and branding initiatives. Coordinate with colleagues to deliver exceptional customer experience.
Requirements
  • Proven Sales Experience: Minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience, preferably in advertising sales or media/PR/Publication industry. Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to deliver engaging sales presentations and build rapport with clients.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to understand client needs, analyze market trends, and develop customized advertising solutions to meet client objectives.
  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships. Customer-centric mindset and dedication to delivering exceptional service.
  • Negotiation Skills: Proficient in negotiation techniques, including the ability to influence and persuade clients to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Self-Motivated: Highly self-driven and results-oriented. Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks to achieve sales goals.
  • Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities. Proactively adapt sales strategies to stay ahead in the market.
  • Bachelor\'s Degree: A bachelor\'s degree in business, marketing, communications, mass media or a related field is preferred.
