Job summary:

The Sales Execution Strategy Manager for EAME/AP (Europe-Africa-Middle East and Asia Pacific regions) is critical to the success of the collective department driving key strategic initiatives and actions across Construction Industry Services Division (CISD) and across the enterprise. You will provide important and strategic input and facilitation, being a key enabler for the Vice President for EAME/AP.

What you will do:

This is a highly strategic role that relies on effective networking and exceptional interpersonal skills, as there is significant interdependency across Caterpillar with key business partners including the Caterpillar Field teams interfacing with Caterpillar Dealers, the Distribution Services Division, Cat Financial, the internal CISD Services Development Teams as well as Retail & Marketing Teams. The Strategy Manager is diligently focused on delivery and execution relying on their strategic perspective to assure the most relevant outcome and impact to drive double digit STU growth. The position often confronts complex issues or problems, which require careful analysis and diagnosis. Problems are often unique, and solutions can require non-traditional approaches. You will establish and then monitor general policies and guidelines for projects under your control to ensure specific management goals are met, and desired results are achieved. The position serves as an advisor/consultant to the Sales Execution Vice President for EAME/AP.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Lead strategy development to improve results for department and division positively impacting Customer Experience, Caterpillar Dealer Deployment and Services Growth.
  • Manage metrics, dashboards and supporting management tools in place to monitor performance and develop processes to increase Services revenue.
  • Support messaging development for internal and external meetings including Services Growth Meetings, CISD Monthly Business Reviews, All Employee Meetings and F2F Team Meetings
  • Coordinate and lead annual business plan and department expense budgets and results and coordinates rolling business management with Business Resources
  • Lead Weekly Business Review meetings for Sales Execution Team as the certified 4DX Coach and ensure commitments made are impactful to the WIG (Wildly Important Goal)
  • Attend various executive/department meetings in place (or with) the Vice President to keep a pulse on the business and help connect the dots with others across the company. Effective champion for the aftermarket, with demonstrated credibility in the organization, able to be persuasive and influence without authority.
  • Organize and facilitate leadership meetings, ensure clear communication of objectives, expectations and manage accountability, assigning duties according to capability
  • Responsible for driving internal and external communication that supports and accelerates impact of the department
  • Assist in onboarding key team members
Basic Requirements:
  • 4-year college or university degree
  • 10+ years job-related experience in sales, marketing, or product groups
Top Candidates will also have:
  • Advanced business degree
  • Exceptional networking skills, being accessible, responsive and focused on delivery and execution
  • Experience across an enterprise including dealer facing/customer facing/field roles
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical and project management skills
  • The ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile and fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization
  • Ability to navigate and influence in a large matrix organization
  • Maintains positive and can-do attitude and approach to work
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Proven decision-making capabilities and significant knowledge of Caterpillar organization, associated accountabilities, product mix and line, market segments, customers, and competitors
