The Sales Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service at the point of sale, handling transactions accurately, and supporting the daily operations of the shop.
This role includes assisting customers with purchases, processing payments, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, along with duties/responsibilities covering overall shop inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Process sales transactions using a point-of-sale (POS) system, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments.
Answer customer questions about products, services, and store policies.
Assist with product returns, exchanges, and warranty claims following company procedures.
Maintain accurate cash drawer record and reconcile at the beginning and end of shifts, along with coordinating with manager/accountant for cash float requirements for store use (items purchase etc.)
Promote in-store sales, loyalty programs, and special offers.
Collaborate with sales and workshop staff to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Stock and organize merchandise near the checkout area, along with keeping record of the overall stock on hand to be updated with the store's retail system.
Keep the cashier station clean, organized, and well-supplied.
Assist in opening and closing duties as assigned by the manager.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous retail or cashier experience required.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Basic math skills and attention to detail.
Familiarity with bicycles and cycling equipment is a plus.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
