Safety Officer
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures.
Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments on-site.
Identify hazards, investigate incidents, and recommend corrective actions.
Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to staff and subcontractors.
Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and standards.
Maintain safety documentation, reports, and records.
Promote safety culture among employees and subcontractors.
Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
Qualifications:
Relevant certification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, or equivalent).
Proven experience as a Safety Officer in construction or civil projects.
Good knowledge of health and safety legislation.
Strong communication and training skills.
Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
Ability to work in a dynamic construction environment.
