As part of our dedication to maintaining high safety standards, we are seeking an experienced Safety Officer / HSE Officer to join our team. Job Summary: We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer / HSE Officer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the GCC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards. Responsibilities:
Expected Start Date: 25/02/2024
- Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken to mitigate risks.
- Provide safety training and education programs for employees and contractors to increase awareness of safety practices and procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Collaborate with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and encourage active participation in safety initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
- Review and evaluate safety equipment and personal protective gear to ensure effectiveness and compliance with standards.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and authorities to ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to safety and health.
- Bachelor\'s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer / HSE Officer in the GCC region.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local, national, and international safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Proven track record of implementing successful safety programs and initiatives.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Safety: 5 years (Preferred)
- Sharjah (Required)
- Sharjah: Relocate before starting work (Required)
