As part of our dedication to maintaining high safety standards, we are seeking an experienced Safety Officer / HSE Officer to join our team. Job Summary: We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer / HSE Officer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the GCC region. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe work environment in compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards. Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken to mitigate risks.
Provide safety training and education programs for employees and contractors to increase awareness of safety practices and procedures.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Collaborate with management, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and encourage active participation in safety initiatives.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, training sessions, incidents, and corrective actions taken.
Review and evaluate safety equipment and personal protective gear to ensure effectiveness and compliance with standards.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies and authorities to ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations.
Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to safety and health.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, industrial engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer / HSE Officer in the GCC region.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
Strong knowledge of local, national, and international safety regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Proven track record of implementing successful safety programs and initiatives.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
