We are looking for a qualified Safety Officer on a project-based contract (3 to 6 months). The role involves monitoring and implementing safety practices across solar PV project sites and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct risk assessments and identify hazards related to solar PV systems.
Monitor high-risk activities such as working at heights and electrical work.
Deliver safety training to staff on procedures, emergency response, and PPE usage.
Carry out site inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Maintain and update safety management systems.
Ensure emergency equipment (first-aid kits, fire extinguishers) is available and functional.
Investigate incidents, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
Assist engineers and supervisors in planning safe work practices.
Requirements:
NEBOSH certification (mandatory).
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Experience in safety inspections and risk assessments.
Good communication and training skills.
Strong reporting and documentation abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and act calmly in emergencies.
Knowledge of solar PV systems is an advantage.
