Al Mamary Skylight is seeking a qualified

Safety Officer

for a short-term assignment (3 to 6 months). The Safety Officer will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and compliant work environment across our project sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in construction safety and be familiar with UAE authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Morning Briefings:

Conduct daily safety briefings to highlight potential hazards, discuss preventive measures, and reinforce compliance with safety protocols.

Site Walkthroughs:

Perform regular inspections of active construction areas to identify safety risks, correct unsafe behaviors, and ensure general site safety.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate records of inspections, incidents, safety violations, and training logs for internal and regulatory review.

Training Sessions:

Organize and conduct safety orientation and job-specific training for new and existing site personnel.

Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure safety is embedded into planning and execution activities.

Regulatory Compliance:

Monitor site activities to ensure strict adherence to Dubai Municipality, Dubai Development Authority (DDA), and other relevant UAE authority HSE regulations.

Inspections and Audits:

Conduct routine safety audits and risk assessments; identify hazards and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented by contractors.

Document Review:

Prepare HSE documentation including safety plans, method statements, risk assessments, and daily/weekly safety reports.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in construction safety (UAE experience preferred) NEBOSH or equivalent (IOSH, OSHA, OTHM, etc.) Valid UAE Safety Officer Card (preferred) Strong knowledge of UAE HSE laws and regulatory standards Excellent communication and reporting skills Ability to enforce safety rules in a professional and effective manner
