We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Safety Engineer

with

5+ years of UAE experience

in the

civil construction industry

. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and monitoring health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with UAE regulations and international safety standards on construction sites. A strong understanding of safety risks associated with civil works, especially in high-risk environments such as high-rise buildings and infrastructure projects, is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Enforce compliance with UAE safety regulations and internal HSE policies at the site. Conduct daily site inspections and risk assessments to identify unsafe practices and conditions. Monitor and ensure the use of proper PPE and adherence to safe work procedures by workers and subcontractors. Deliver toolbox talks, HSE training, and awareness sessions to workers and staff. Investigate incidents/accidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective/preventive actions. Prepare safety documentation including method statements, risk assessments, and emergency response plans. Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and safety officers to maintain a safe working environment. Maintain and update safety logs, permits, and inspection checklists.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Minimum 5 years of safety-related experience in UAE construction projects. Must have

NEBOSH IGC

or equivalent recognized safety certification. In-depth knowledge of UAE labor law, local municipality safety codes (e.g., Dubai Municipality, ADM), and international HSE standards (OSHA, ISO 45001). Experience in civil and structural works, excavation, scaffolding, working at height, and confined spaces. Strong communication, observation, and incident reporting skills. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and coordinate with multicultural teams.
