Safety Compliance and Security Specialist

Job Purpose Maintain and update the SAS Safety Compliance & Security Policies and Procedures through oversight and implementation of safety & security practices to promote operational awareness, minimize losses, and mitigate risks. Accountabilities

Monitor, evaluate, inspect, and assess SAS ground operations for safety and security deficiencies, ensuring compliance with SAS Safety and Security management systems. Identify hazards, assess security threats and safety risks, and recommend preventive and corrective actions in line with international and local Civil Aviation requirements, customer airline procedures, and industry best practices. Prepare safety and security review reports for senior management based on the company safety & security database/statistics. Conduct periodic safety & security audits and inspections to ensure operations comply with company procedures, international and local Civil Aviation standards, and customer airline procedures. Train company personnel in Safety Management System and Aviation Security, including updating training materials and leading training sessions to foster a safety and security culture. Oversee and implement the safety risk management system at corporate and operational levels, including leading investigations, assessing safety risks, and analyzing data. Develop and review the Annual Audits and Inspections Schedule and checklists to ensure compliance with industry standards, liaising with DCA and airport authorities on safety and security issues. Monitor the implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. Lead investigations of serious safety incidents or accidents, prepare investigation reports, and assist with investigations of minor and moderate incidents. Adhere to the companyaEUR(TM)s Safety Compliance, Security, and Health & Safety policies. Qualification and Experience Qualification: BacheloraEUR(TM)s Degree or equivalent experience. Experience: Minimum of 7 years, including at least 5 years in the aviation industry, with knowledge of GCAA requirements.
