Double-check table numbers and ensure correct dishes go to the correct guests.
Announce dishes professionally when placing them on the table.
Assist waiters with serving sauces, cutlery, and additional requests.
Move swiftly between kitchen and dining area without delays.
Communicate clearly with kitchen if items are missing or delayed.
B. Bussing & Table Maintenance
Clear plates, cutlery, glasses, and trash efficiently and quietly.
Reset tables within
1-2 minutes
after guests leave.
Ensure tables are always clean, neat, and ready for new guests.
Refill water glasses when necessary (as per service standards).
Help arrange tables for large groups or events.
C. Cleanliness & Organization
Keep service stations stocked and organized (cutlery, napkins, trays, plates).
Maintain cleanliness in dining area, including chairs, floors, walls, and tables.
Clean used trays and return them to the station.
Ensure buffet, beverage station, and tray stands are clean during the entire shift.
D. Support to Waiters & FOH Team
Assist waiters during busy times with serving, clearing, and resetting tables.
Support host when needed (guiding guests to tables, bringing menus).
Assist bar or pass station with running drinks.
Respond quickly to any supervisor request.
E. Guest Experience & Safety
Maintain polite and professional communication with guests.
Follow safety procedures when carrying hot plates or heavy trays.
Ensure aisles remain clear from obstacles for staff and guest safety.
Observe guests and notify waiters if someone needs assistance.
F. Shift Opening & Closing
Set up stations before service: clean tables, restock cutlery, prepare trays.
At shift end:
Clean service areas
Return items to storage
Organize stations for next shift
Dispose of trash properly
6. Job RequirementsA. Education & Experience
No formal education required.
Previous experience as runner or busser preferred but not mandatory.
Freshers with good energy and willingness to learn are welcome.
