Accountable for the mRNA Therapeutic Area in the MERA Region, matrix leadership of local marketing, category leads, cross-functional partners across multiple countries, and BMLs to drive the strategic vision of the growing mRNA business / portfolio including inline and pipeline assets. Reports to the mRNA EMGL and champions the mRNA TA for MERA in close collaboration with MERA Cluster President and Country Managers.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable of the therapeutic area performance at the regional level. Secondary P&L accountability for the therapeutic area.
Matrix leadership of country level marketing teams, category leads, and local cross-functional stakeholders, and enterprise BILs to develop and execute asset specific strategies and generate rapid uptake
Sets regional vision and direction for the therapeutic area (objectives, strategies, tactics, customers, field force, etc.)
Manages the products lifecycle from launch (asset and indications).
Responsible for extensive people coaching and mentoring across a geographically dispersed virtual team, including enhancement of marketing capabilities
Proactively works with CBLs, Category Leads, BILs, Country Managers and Cluster President to identify potential issues to budget delivery and initiates action plans mitigating any issues
Liaise with Global Team to deliver and align business priorities.
Proactively recommends Buy-Up opportunities to boost growth
Drives innovation and Dare to Try / Breakthrough projects in a highly competitive market
Aligns with other EM regions to leverage best practices
Obtains external and internal insights to inform strategy, messaging, tactics; gathers thorough competitive intelligence; generates market research requests and helps compile market feedback from CBLs
Plans/forecasts, spends, and tracks brand budgets at regional level
Tracks revenue performance and relevant launch uptake metrics; designs interventions to mitigate risks or leverage opportunities through business cases all-year-round (incl. P&Ls)
Proactively and cost-effectively streamlines promotional efforts; seeks opportunities to more effectively execute marketing activities to free CBLs time to focus on customers-facing
Establishes cross-functional teams where appropriate and interface with regional and country stakeholders through effective matrix management
Identifies, develops and manages effective relationships with customers, which have regional reach, and ensures that Pfizer is positioned as a leading, innovative and ethical provider of health care solutions
