Summary
The Rooms Coordinator supports the efficient coordination of room inventory and room assignments to ensure a seamless guest experience. This role works closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, and Reservations teams to manage room status, accommodate guest preferences, and ensure accurate room readiness in line with daily operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate daily room assignments in alignment with guest preferences, operational priorities, and availability.
Monitor room status in the property management system to ensure accurate and timely updates (clean, dirty, inspected, out of order, etc.).
Liaise closely with Housekeeping to track room readiness and prioritize cleaning schedules based on arrivals, departures, and VIP guests.
Support the Front Desk by providing real-time updates on room availability to ensure smooth check-ins and guest arrivals.
Track and communicate special guest requests such as room type preferences, connecting rooms, early check-ins, late check-outs, and VIP arrangements.
Coordinate with Reservations and Front Office teams to ensure room allocations are aligned with bookings and operational needs.
Assist in managing high-occupancy periods by optimizing room assignments to support maximum occupancy and guest satisfaction.
Support management during overbooking situations by assisting with room reassignments or alternative arrangements, as directed.
Address and follow up on room-related issues or discrepancies to ensure prompt resolution.
Maintain accurate records of room inventory, guest preferences, and rooming notes.
Prepare and share daily room status or occupancy reports as required.
Ensure effective communication between departments to maintain smooth rooming operations.
Carry out any additional tasks or responsibilities assigned by management to support departmental and hotel objectives.
