Responsibilities:
Team Supervision:
Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the kitchen team, ensuring smooth workflow and timely preparation of meals.
Quality Control:
Monitor food preparation, presentation, and service to maintain high-quality standards.
Inventory Management:
Ensure proper stock levels of ingredients and supplies, and coordinate with the storekeeper for replenishments.
Compliance:
Ensure the kitchen complies with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Training & Support:
Train new staff members on kitchen procedures, hygiene standards, and recipe preparations.
Coordination:
Collaborate with chefs, waitstaff, and other departments to deliver seamless service during peak hours or events.
Problem Solving:
Address and resolve any issues in the kitchen, including equipment malfunctions or staff-related challenges.
Record Keeping:
Maintain records of kitchen operations, including daily reports, inventory logs, and staff attendance.
Food Safety:
Ensure all food is prepared, stored, and served in compliance with HACCP and hotel guidelines.
Leadership:
Motivate and guide the kitchen team to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a similar supervisory role in a kitchen environment.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
