Job Description
:
The Road & Pavement Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and inspecting all road and pavement works on site to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day roadworks: subgrade, sub-base, base, asphalt, kerbs, and paving. Check levels, alignments, thicknesses, and workmanship in line with approved drawings and method statements. Coordinate site testing (FDT, plate load, asphalt cores, material sampling) and review results. Inspect and verify materials against approved submittals. Raise and follow up non-conformities and corrective actions. Coordinate with survey, utilities, and drainage teams to resolve site issues. Prepare daily reports, IRs, and progress updates. Ensure adherence to HSE requirements at all times.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field. 5-10 years' site experience in road and pavement construction. Good knowledge of road construction, compaction, and asphalt works. Familiarity with AASHTO or equivalent local standards. Ability to read civil drawings and typical details. Basic AutoCAD skills (Civil 3D is an advantage). Strong coordination, communication, and QA/QC awareness.
