Responsibilities:
Weatherford have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced R&M Quality Manager to join the team in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. The R&M Quality Manager will oversee the R&M (Repair and Maintenance) Quality Department functions and ensure full compliance with the Global Weatherford QMS and customer requirements. This role will provide R&M quality leadership, develop quality plans, operational procedures, quality assurance and quality detection systems, control points, quality measures and process qualifications, including training of personnel, monitoring and testing. This role will lead in the development and implementation of quality improvement programs/initiatives to drive the facility towards zero defects and zero quality escapes.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE
  • Follows all safety and compliance procedures; maintains compliance and safety as first priorities when working across all areas of the business.
  • In case of concerns with safety, quality non-conformances, or integrity concerns, exercises ‘Stop Work Authority’ to suspend operations.
  • Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring that all activities are carried out ethically and in compliance with company policies, relevant laws, regulations, standards and industry practices in the applicable country.
  • Ensure controls are in place to guarantee compliance with government regulations in relation to quality.
OPERATIONAL CAPABILITY
  • Ensures timely and effective implementation of all company's policies, procedures, and standards involved in assuring the quality of repair and maintenance of products and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and improve Site Quality Management System. Develop and update quality procedures and work instructions while following MOC (Management of Change) process for implementation.
  • As applicable, ensure ISO and API certifications (or compliance to ISO/API), as well as other adopted quality standards, are maintained.
  • Develop annual audit program. Conduct and support detailed audits to ensure compliance with certification requirements, regulatory standards and documented procedures and work instructions; monitor effective and sustainable finding closures.
  • Ensures audit findings and non-conformances are reviewed and analysed with appropriate RCA (Root Cause Analysis) tools based on severity to address corrective and preventative actions in an effective and timely manner.
  • Develop site Quality Specific Improvement Plan, including “SMART” objectives and KPIs in alignment with Corporate Global Quality objectives.
  • Oversee plant Quality performance; guide and support quality team members to develop and execute site-specific Quality improvement plans to drive toward zero defects and zero quality escapes.
  • Develop non-conformance reporting and cost of quality reporting (scrap and rework).
  • Provide overall trends of NCRs (Non Conformance Reports), CPARs (Corrective Preventative Action Reports), and Audit findings.
  • Oversee the day to day QA and QC activities and their execution in accordance with all applicable specifications, licensees and global QMS (Quality Management System) policies and procedures.
  • Develop respective Quality control plans and ensure R&M orders are executed accordingly.
  • Ensure TMDE (Testing Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment) calibrations are conducted timely and maintain control of TMDE equipment.
  • Monitor quality measures / KPIs; ensure Quality Management reviews are conducted on time and with the cross functional leadership team.
  • Support Quality development of Flagship.
  • Establish clear goals/objectives for Quality team members and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Support processes for inspections required by contract and Weatherford quality program.
  • Supports KSA Quality manager on root cause analyses where needed.
  • Develops positive relationships and collaborates closely with R&M, Product Line, Operations and Engineering to implement an effective program and address issues.
  • Other quality duties as requested by the KSA Quality Manager.
CLIENT COMMUNICATION
  • Interacts with both internal and external customers with regards to manufacturing quality.
  • Interacts with third party auditors and certification bodies as required.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
  • Hires, trains and develops personnel on the R&M quality program and tools in conjunction with the facility Plant Manager.
  • Ensures R&M quality personnel are professionally developing and competent for their role; develop competency criteria to evaluate the R&M quality leaders at the facilities.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
  • 5+ years knowledge in ISO 9001 and API.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience.
  • Demonstrated global leadership experience in a quality organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to make presentations to cross functional groups.
  • Demonstrated abilities related to problem-solving, decision-making, judgement, leadership, and team-oriented skills in order to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to coordinate with customers, suppliers, and third party auditors.
  • Analytical understanding of defect data, perform root cause analyses, and determine corrective and preventative actions.
  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English proficiently.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to evoke critical thinking.
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
Preferred:
  • MBA.
  • Root Cause Analysis Incident Investigation Training; TapRoot experience.
  • Oilfield services operational and technical experience.
  • Weatherford enterprise and management systems knowledge.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand Arabic proficiently.
  • Experience using JD Edwards.
  • Experience leading in a matrixed organization.
