Job Title Risk Reporting Analyst

Description

The Risk Reporting Analyst (C11 level) will manage reporting for Card/Loans/MSBF portfolios operating in the following geography: UAE and Bahrain; accounting for $1.4Bln in receivables.

The incumbent will be part of the Consumer Risk management team and will develop, enhance and execute of Internal/Regional reports. Credit MIS reporting is used across Citigroup to monitor and evaluate portfolio risk performance, and to fulfil regulatory reporting requirements.

The incumbent will manage development of data warehouse infrastructure, strong data governance, integration of data from several sources (digital, bureau services, internal), resolution of data related issues.

The incumbent will utilize Statistical Analysis System (SAS) in a UNIX environment to perform risk, financial and data analyses including profiling, sampling, reconciliation and quality testing. The incumbent will contribute to the analysis and preparation of local and US regulatory reporting requirements and monitoring the portfolio in coordination with the Risk Management team.

The incumbent will partner with colleagues within local risk team and evaluate portfolio risk performance and perform business analysis to respond to regulatory requirements and provide portfolio insights.
Responsibilities:
Work independently to assist with the development and generation of the required risk reporting datasets.
Ensure that any reports or data feeds comply with Global Consumer Credit and Fraud Risk Policy and local legal and regulatory requirements.
Providing strong leadership in data governance, support in fixing / initiating / closures of Corrective Action Plans on reporting - by alignment of data sources to the respective guidelines & revamping BAU scripts.
Basel Parameter analysis and review to suggest course of strategy actions for curtailing the Risk Weighted Assets or parameters override request
Development and implementation of any new reporting requirements
Support global reporting team by producing monthly feeds and investigate / resolve identified data quality issues.
Participates in preparing regular and time-sensitive ad-hoc deliverables to the regulators and senior managements, closely working with industry and regional senior portfolio managers.
Contributes to the analysis and preparation of reports for Internal Management, Regulators, Auditors, etc. that detail risks inherent in Credit, Market, Operational or other Risk Portfolios. Reporting can cover a variety of areas including but not limited to: portfolio concentrations, limit exceptions, stress testing, loss reserves or high-risk exposures.
Roles
Assists in Credit Bureau Reporting initiatives.
Provides information to Risk Management and the business for audit, stress testing and ad-hoc related queries.
Develops and maintains close working relationship with Risk Management, Business Units and other Control functions. Raise, investigate and follow-up on issues related to data quality, limit excesses, etc.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Degree holder in Statistics, Mathematics, MIS or any related field
At least 5 years work experience in finance or a related control discipline (e.g. Risk Management, Financial Control, Audit, Operations, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to aggregate in a stable, robust and structured manner data sourced from different platform. Big data oriented.
Demonstrated ability in automated MIS report production from regional DWH.
Strong understanding of regulatory reporting including BASEL, loss mitigation, etc.
Good understanding of risk management and business strategies/actions as well as credit Bureau data. Ability to develop and perform analysis that addresses concerns and issues in a clear and concise manner.
Proficiency in Excel, Macros, Pivots, complex formulas
Ability to manage self and projects effectively in a high pressure organization with multiple deadlines.
Excellent ability to develop partnerships across multiple business and functional areas.
Proficient in SQL ,SAS -Requires 5 years of experience in SAS MIS production or other reporting tools.
The position requires exceptional work ethics, solid communication skills, and ability to multitask and work against deadlines.
Quick learner with excellent communication skills, team orientation, and ability to work with counterparts in different areas
Attention to detail and accuracy are essential. Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to quickly develop advanced knowledge of MS Excel and Access are a must.
The position requires exceptional work ethics, solid communication skills, and ability to multitask and work against deadlines.

Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
