GMSS is seeking a full time Risk and Intelligence Analyst to join our Risk Management team in Dubai. The successful candidate will cover operational and security risk developments in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The role will be based in Dubai and may require some project travel.
The successful candidate will possess a strong, specialist academic and/or professional background in the social sciences with a focus on risk analysis and an outstanding aptitude for thinking and writing analytically to a very high standard. They will have the ability to convey analytical judgment and complex information. The role will require close collaboration with operations, intelligence and security experts, geo-political experts and business development teams.
Tasks and Responsibilities

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Assisting with analytical coverage of select countries and industries
- Working on major Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) projects
- Delivering briefings and participating in conferences and other events
- Writing analytical reports on relevant developments in social, political, commercial and governmental activities
- Collect, process, analyze and visualize relevant data from a broad range of sources
- Present reports and analyses in imaginative and client-friendly ways
- Undertaking research for tailored reports and projects
- Supporting management through contextual input to risk and security initiatives
- Liaising regularly with fellow analysts and technical experts across the region
- Developing and maintaining government, academic, journalistic and business contacts
- Undergraduate degree in relevant social sciences (Preferred but not required)
- At least two years of full-time professional experience in political risk consulting or another relevant business-focused research or consulting role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to write clearly, concisely, and authoritatively to tight deadlines
- Ability to identify and interpret events and developments of potential interest or concern
- Data literacy, quantitative analysis and computer office suite skills
- Practical knowledge of data analytics and visualization solutions
