Excellent attention to detail About the role Sibylline Ltd is looking for an experienced Senior Intelligence Analyst to join our team in an embedded role within a client's global security function, focused on the tobacco sector. Based in Dubai, the successful candidate will help our client to make critical decisions for ensuring the safety and security of staff, assets, and operations in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions. A broad understanding of geopolitical and security affairs (including politics, security, economy, and business) in the EMEA region is critical for this role, along with professional proficiency in both English and Arabic. Our client needs an experienced analyst who can collect, develop, and evaluate intelligence, assess the threats, vulnerabilities and impacts that exist, and support the delivery of security risk mitigation measures. They will disseminate intelligence products and verbal briefings, support reactively, proactively and/or during evolving incidents, and provide advice on appropriate tactical options to support the security and safety of personnel. Applicants must have enthusiasm for geopolitics and corporate security analysis, show commercial awareness, and be able to work under minimal supervision. The successful candidate can expect to work during standard business hours, with the occasional out-of-hours work for emergencies and time-sensitive matters. This is a hybrid role, involving both in-office and remote work. Candidates will exhibit flexibility and adaptability to changing needs of the work schedule; they must be a self-starter and able to hit the ground running, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a global team. The Senior Intelligence Analyst will report to a UK-based Embedded Intelligence Manager, with support from Sibyllines Intelligence Operations team in London. Full support will be provided from our head office, including training and professional development. Receive and analyse information streams from open source and industry networks to produce intelligence products for dissemination to relevant parties, in line with confidentiality, sensitivity and internal company policies; . Define and agree on a collection plan with regional and country security teams, central Programs teams and peer analysts; . Develop a product line and dissemination plan that utilises the full scope of resources across the regional and country security teams, central Programs teams and peer analysts; . Gather, research, and evaluate information, in accordance with the collection plan, to identify trends and perform predictive or retrospective analysis; . Prepare and deliver credible, timely and actionable intelligence products to clearly and accurately inform decision making and provide advice on tactical and strategic outcomes, where appropriate; . Work closely with data analysis counterparts to exploit internal data collection and convert into analysis; . Work with key stakeholders proactively to identify and encapsulate risk exposure as required, while identifying any intelligence gap; . Produce analysis in support of key programme standards, including but not limited to, Supply Chain Security, Travel Security and Assignee Risk Management, Emergency Response and Crisis Management; . Establish and maintain networks with internal and/or external partners at all levels of seniority to ensure appropriate information sharing in support of a timely response and to achieve shared objectives; . Maintain awareness of innovation within intelligence to ensure the implementation of latest techniques and tactics, best practices, and information relevant to the role; and . Maintain contact and support collaboration between Sibylline and the client firm. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Minimum . University degree in a related field, such as international relations, politics, or security; . At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in a private sector intelligence role, preferably with regional or global experience within Supply Chain Security, Travel Security and Assignee Risk Management, Emergency Response, or Crisis Management; . Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic; . Expert knowledge and experience of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, from a geopolitical and security perspective; . Highly advanced research, intelligence gathering and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets; . Strong private sector industry networks, with membership and thought leadership across key global, regional, and local intelligence sharing groups; . Ability to maintain the highest levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality, while presenting credibility, objectivity, and respect across all parts of the business; . Ability to write high-quality executive briefs, detailed reports, and other documents, including presentation material to support decision-making; . Ability to quality assure intelligence products (peer review) and negotiate with and influence senior managers based on data and analytical outcomes; . Able to work well as a team and communicate with a range of stakeholders to provide information and intelligence and ensure understanding; . Able to innovate and identify potential opportunities to enhance efficiency and/or effectiveness within own area of work, including developing own knowledge to increase effectiveness; . Able to break down a problem into component parts and determine appropriate action; . A self-starter who is able to appropriately prioritise, plan own work and agree on team workload management with peers, while meeting deadlines and often facing time pressure; . Able to set out logical arguments clearly, adapting language, form, and message to meet the needs of different people/audiences; and . Full existing authorisation to live and work in the UAE. Preferred . Advanced degree (Masters or above) in a related field; . Other language skills in addition to English and Arabic; . Strong professional network through OSAC, ISMA, AIRIP or similar industry bodies; . Deep knowledge / interest in global supply chain security issues and trends; .
