Key Responsibilities

Inspect lifting gear such as slings, shackles, hooks, chains, and wire ropes before use Select appropriate lifting equipment based on load weight, type, and environmental conditions Secure and balance loads properly for safe lifting and movement Guide crane operators using standard hand signals or radio communication Ensure lifting operations are carried out safely and as per approved lifting plans Assist in positioning loads accurately at designated locations Perform water bag load testing for cranes, davits, winches, and lifting beams Assist in marine rigging operations on barges, jetties, pontoons, and offshore platforms Handle lifting and securing of marine equipment, including fenders, gangways, buoys, and mooring systems Support lifting operations on vessels, including confined deck spaces and dynamic marine environments Ensure proper ballast control and load distribution during marine lifting activities Coordinate with marine crew, crane operators, and lifting supervisors during offshore operations Follow all HSE rules, risk assessments, method statements, and marine safetyprocedures including permit-to-work, toolbox talks, and weather assessments Stop lifting operations if unsafe conditions are observed Maintain housekeeping around lifting areas Report damaged or defective lifting equipment immediately Assist supervisors and operators as required during lifting activities
Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Rigger in construction, industrial, concrete, or marine lifting operations Experience in marine lifting, water bag testing, or offshore rigging is an advantage Knowledge of safe lifting practices, load calculations, and marine lifting standards Ability to understand lifting plans, hand signals, and marine communication protocols Physically fit and able to work at heights, offshore, and in outdoor conditions Basic understanding of English (Hindi/English/Arabic is an advantage)
