Revenue Manager

As a Revenue Manager your responsibilities include overseeing the occupancy and average rate through control and analysis of room inventory. Work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to maximize all available sales opportunities.

What you will be doing: Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • To maximize rooms revenue and profit through pro-active selling techniques and provide the highest standards of service levels
  • To provide a point of contact for all inquiries and associated processes within unit from key sales, marketing and PR channels.
  • To develop and foster business through pro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail, appointment calls and tours of the hotel.
  • Working closely with the General Manager and the Sales and Marketing Team
  • Dealing with Tour Operators, Local DMCs, Corporate Companies, PR channels
  • Analyze current and potential market/trends, coordinates all activities to maintain and increase revenue through added business volume and increase rate
  • Procure new and repeat business for the resort by monitoring contact with travel agencies, tour operators, airlines, commercial houses and professional associations with local and international markets.
  • Attain contracting with key travel partners, wholesalers, planners, corporate accounts, incentive buyers through personal sales calls, telephone contacts and written communications
  • Manages key accounts
  • Provide direction on the conducts market research
  • Monitors competitive activities
  • Ensures the resort is represented as an active member of the local community through association membership
  • To plan and attend trade and road shows in key market areas
  • Establish and continuous update database and mailing list
  • Conduct weekly reviews of sales activity to ensure targets and sales objectives are being met
  • Forecast room occupancy on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Maintain a calendar of local special events and in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing recommend appropriate packages.
  • Attend weekly yield management meetings and prepare appropriate reports for discussion.
  • Monitoring the competitors’ rate structure on a regular basis
  • Collect most update information on the competitors’ set as well as the market situation in terms of special offers, occupancy and rates
  • Monitor all booking channels as to maximize the yield and revenue for the resort on a constant basis
  • Familiar with the ongoing rates, packages and promotions as to maximize the business for the resort
  • Handle guests’ inquiries as well as complaints if necessary.
  • Follow up with all the cut off dates with room allotments from our various business partners.
  • Update all the rates, promotions and packages within the internal booking channels as well as the externally business partners.
  • Work closely with the Front Office Manager to ensure high guest satisfaction pre and post stay at the resort.
  • Able to handle shop calls as the enhancement for the reservation’s procedures.
  • Conduct hotel inspection or entertainment with S&M team as request.
  • Recruit and train Reservations employees in accordance with hotel guidelines.
  • Monitor performance of Reservations employees on a regular basis and in accordance with hotel guidelines.
  • Ensure all Reservations employees are fully trained on the reservation systems available and are fully conversant with the rates, packages and any special offers available.
  • Ensure guest history is updated on a daily basis and special needs/information of incoming guests is communicated to the appropriate departments.
  • In addition, other duties as may be required as directed by your Manager.

Your experience and skills include:
  • Previous experience in a similar function from a luxury hotel or resort.
  • Good leadership with experience in managing a team.
  • Knowledgeable in applicable labor law and legislation
  • Hands on person
  • Fluent in English, local language is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal skill
