Minimum of 5 years of experience as a revenue in the retail industry, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Sales and Invoicing: Monitor and reconcile sales transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of revenue data from various retail channels (e.g., physical stores, e-commerce, wholesale, etc.).
Sales Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with sales tax regulations and accurately record and report sales tax liabilities.
Revenue & Receipt Reconciliation: Conduct regular reconciliations between revenue figures reported in the accounting system and other data sources, such as point-of-sale systems or e-commerce platforms, Cash received, Credit Cards, Customer Credit, etc.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain strong internal controls related to revenue recognition to prevent errors and potential fraud.
Revenue Recognition: Ensure proper recognition of revenue in accordance with accounting principles (e.g., Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or International Financial Reporting Standards) and company policies.
Accounts Receivable: Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing customers, tracking outstanding payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze revenue-related financial reports, including revenue forecasts, sales trends, and aging reports for accounts receivable. Cost Analysis: Analyze and review production costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead expenses, to identify areas where cost savings can be achieved without compromising quality.
Deferral and Accruals: Review and process revenue deferrals and accruals for unearned or partially earned revenue, ensuring compliance with accounting guidelines.
Audit Support: Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial audits to provide documentation and explanations related to revenue transactions.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve revenue accounting processes, streamline workflows, and enhance data accuracy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, finance, and operations teams to gather relevant data and ensure smooth revenue-related processes.
Compliance and Regulations: Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, revenue recognition rules, and tax regulations that may impact the retail industry.
Financial Analysis: Analyze revenue and sales data to identify trends, patterns, and potential areas of improvement for the business.
Knowledge of UAE taxation and accounting regulations is required.
Knowledge of JD Edwards ERP / Retail Pro is a plus.
