Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, a keen eye for merchandising, and the ability to handle transactions efficiently.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store. Provide product demonstrations and share knowledge about features and benefits to enhance customer understanding. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties. Maintain a clean and organized sales floor through effective stocking and merchandising practices. Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, demonstrating strong phone etiquette when necessary. Utilize basic math skills for retail math calculations related to sales and inventory management.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer engagement. Familiarity with merchandising principles and product placement strategies is a plus. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. A positive attitude with a commitment to providing excellent customer service is essential.
