The Restaurant Supervisor assists in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant. They ensure exceptional customer service, maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, and support the restaurant team in delivering a pleasant dining experience. The Supervisor also plays a key role in staff management, training, and maintaining a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:1. Operations Management:
Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Monitor food and beverage quality and presentation.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Manage inventory, including ordering and stocking supplies.
Handle cash, reconcile daily sales, and prepare reports.
2. Staff Supervision and Training:
Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring staff members.
Assign tasks and ensure staff adherence to operational standards.
Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
3. Customer Service:
Greet and interact with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Maintain high standards of hospitality and service.
Implement strategies to improve customer experience.
4. Administrative Duties:
Assist with staff scheduling and shift management.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, orders, and sales.
Prepare and submit operational and financial reports as required.
Support the Restaurant Manager in budgeting and cost control.
5. Problem Solving:
Identify potential issues and proactively address them.
Implement solutions to improve service quality and efficiency.
Maintain calm and professionalism during busy or challenging periods.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Hospitality or Management degree preferred).
Proven experience in a supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
Proficiency in restaurant management software and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
