Job Summary
The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining quality standards, and supporting staff performance. This role acts as a bridge between management and front-line staff to ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily front-of-house and/or back-of-house operations
Ensure high standards of customer service and promptly resolve guest complaints
Monitor staff attendance, performance, grooming, and adherence to company policies
Assist in staff training, onboarding, and motivation
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
Manage table reservations, guest flow, and peak-hour service
Support inventory control, stock checks, and waste reduction
Assist management with scheduling, reporting, and operational planning
Ensure cleanliness, ambiance, and proper setup of the restaurant at all times
Handle cash, POS systems, and daily closing procedures when required
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Restaurant Supervisor or similar role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and restaurant operations
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
Preferred Skills
Experience in high-volume or fine-dining restaurants
Multilingual abilities
Conflict resolution and guest recovery skills
Knowledge of inventory and cost control
