Job Description

The Restaurant Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Italian restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, smooth workflow, and adherence to quality, hygiene, and operational standards. The role involves supervising staff, managing shift operations, monitoring food and service quality, and supporting the management in achieving sales and customer satisfaction goals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:



Operational Responsibilities:



Supervise daily restaurant operations to ensure efficiency and high-quality service. Ensure all dishes and beverages meet Italian culinary standards and presentation guidelines. Coordinate with kitchen staff and service team to maintain smooth communication and timely service. Monitor cleanliness and organization of the dining area and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly. Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed. Manage reservations and table arrangements for smooth guest flow.

Staff Supervision:



Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant staff to deliver excellent service. Assign tasks and monitor staff performance during shifts. Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily goals, specials, and updates. Assist in scheduling shifts and managing staff attendance and discipline.

Financial & Inventory Control:



Assist in controlling costs by minimizing wastage, monitoring portion control, and managing resources efficiently. Support in maintaining accurate records of inventory, daily sales, and cash handling. Ensure compliance with company policies regarding billing and payment processes.

Customer Service:



Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that reflects the restaurant's Italian hospitality. Build relationships with repeat guests and encourage customer loyalty. Handle special requests and VIP guests professionally.

Compliance and Standards:



Ensure all operations comply with food safety, hygiene, and company standards. Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness and sanitation. Report maintenance issues promptly.

Qualifications and Requirements:



Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a supervisory role in an Italian or fine dining restaurant. Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, wines, and service standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Customer-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work under pressure and manage a team effectively. Fluent in English Proficient in POS systems and basic computer skills (MS Excel, Word).

Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month
