Restaurant Runner
to join our team in the vibrant, high-traffic dining area of Marsa Village. This pivotal role ensures the flawless connection between our kitchen and our guests, guaranteeing every dish is delivered with
speed, precision, and world-class presentation
. You are the engine of the dining floor, instrumental in maintaining our reputation for exceptional service.
Core Responsibilities1. Service Flow Management & Expediting
Rapid Delivery:
Promptly and efficiently deliver all food and beverage orders from the kitchen pass to the correct table, minimizing guest wait times.
Quality Control:
Serve as the final point of quality check, verifying that all plates match the ticket order, meet temperature standards, and have correct garnishes and presentation before reaching the guest.
Communication Hub:
Act as the liaison between the Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH), communicating service updates, special modifications, and priority table needs.
2. Guest Experience & Order Accuracy
Dish Description:
Accurately and enthusiastically describe each dish to the guest upon delivery, noting key ingredients or preparation methods.
Handling Allergies:
Strictly adhere to all safety protocols concerning food allergies and dietary restrictions, ensuring explicit communication of these details to the culinary team.
Immediate Support:
Maintain high floor awareness to immediately spot and relay guest requests (e.g., refills, extra cutlery, quick clearance) to the serving team.
3. Operational Support & Maintenance
Table Turnover:
Proactively clear finished dishes and glassware, ensuring tables are reset quickly and precisely to the restaurant's standards for the next seating.
Service Station Readiness:
Replenish all service stations with clean cutlery, glassware, condiments, and linen before, during, and after peak service hours.
Hygiene Compliance:
Uphold the highest levels of UAE food safety and cleanliness standards within all service and working areas.
Candidate Qualifications
Required Experience & Skills:
Minimum 2 years of proven experience
as a Food Runner, Busser, or similar support role in a
high-volume, upscale F&B establishment in the UAE (Dubai experience preferred).
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry heavy trays (up to 15 kg/33 lbs) repeatedly across the floor.
Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to operate calmly and effectively under intense pressure.
Fluency in English is mandatory; clear and professional verbal communication is essential.
Must possess or be immediately eligible for a valid UAE residency visa.
Highly Desired:
Working knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems (e.g., Micros, Toast).
Polished appearance and highly professional demeanor suitable for a luxury-focused location.
Proficiency in English language.
