Job Title: Restaurant Manager

Reports To: General Manager / Owner
Oversees: Front of House Team, including Hosts, Servers, Bartenders
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead the daily operations of our established European fine-dining restaurant. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a deep understanding of European cuisine, wine, and service standards. You will be responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience, driving profitability, and fostering a positive and professional team environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule all front-of-house staff.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate specials, service standards, and goals.
  • Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and respect.
  • Manage staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and handle disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Guest Experience & Service:
  • Ensure every guest receives impeccable, knowledgeable, and personalized service.
  • Proactively address and resolve guest complaints and feedback with grace and efficiency.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the floor, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Uphold and evolve the restaurant's standards for service, ambiance, and presentation.
  • Operations & Financial Management:
  • Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Oversee inventory levels for front-of-house supplies, including beverages and linens.
  • Control labor costs and manage budgets in line with financial targets.
  • Analyze financial reports, including P&L statements, to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
  • Menu & Wine Knowledge:
  • Possess an expert-level understanding of our European menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and provenance.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the wine list, with a strong emphasis on European regions, and guide guests in their selections.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager in a high-volume, fine-dining European restaurant.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and business management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of European cuisines, wines, and service etiquette.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and composure under pressure.
  • Impeccable personal presentation and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
