Restaurant Manager - Cargo Pier 7
Location: Cargo, Pier 7, Dubai Marina
Reports to: General Manager / Area Manager
Job Overview:
The Restaurant Manager is a dynamic and hands-on leader responsible for the daily operations of the restaurant at Cargo on Pier 7. This role demands a manager who thrives in a high-energy, social environment, delivering exceptional guest experiences while driving financial performance and leading a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations & Guest Experience: Oversee all facets of daily service, ensuring seamless operations from opening to closing. Proactively manage table turnover, resolve guest issues promptly, and maintain the highest standards of service that reflect the vibrant atmosphere of Cargo and Pier 7.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, schedule, and motivate all front-of-house staff (servers, hosts, bartenders). Foster a positive, collaborative, and efficient team culture. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching for development.
  • Financial Performance: Manage restaurant budgets, control labor costs, and drive revenue to meet and exceed financial targets. Analyze sales reports, implement strategies to increase average spend, and manage inventory controls.
  • Stock & Inventory: Oversee ordering for F&B supplies, manage stock levels, and minimize waste. Conduct regular stock takes in coordination with the kitchen management and bar.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations (DHA, DM). Maintain the restaurant's appearance, ensuring all facilities are clean and well-maintained.
  • Marketing & Events: Collaborate with marketing teams to execute promotions, events, and brunches. Engage with guests to build a loyal clientele and gather feedback.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager in a high-volume, trendy restaurant or lounge.
  • Strong financial acumen (P&L management, cost controls).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant management software (POS systems, e.g., Micros, Zomato).
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
