Restaurant Manager - Cargo, Pier 7
Location: Cargo, Pier 7, Dubai
Reports to: General Manager / Operations Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the team at Cargo, Pier 7. This iconic venue is known for its unique container design and vibrant atmosphere. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for exceptional guest experiences, a keen business acumen, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will be responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, including operations, financial performance, team leadership, and brand standards.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Team Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule all front-of-house staff. Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-energy team culture.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction are consistently met and exceeded. Proactively handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Financial Performance: Manage the restaurant's P&L, including controlling costs (labor, COGS, supplies), optimizing revenue, and achieving budgetary goals. Analyze sales reports and implement strategies for growth.
  • Operations Management: Oversee all daily operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Manage inventory, supplier orders, and stock levels.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Work with the marketing team to execute promotional events and initiatives to drive footfall and enhance the venue's reputation.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the highest standards for food and beverage presentation and quality, in collaboration with the kitchen team.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-volume, premium casual dining or lounge environment.
  • Strong financial literacy and experience with inventory management and budgeting.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems, Micros, Zonal).
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and make sound decisions quickly.
  • A customer-focused and results-driven mindset.
  • Must be of legal age and possess any required certifications as per local regulations.
